Selling Recurring Server Subscriptions With WooCommerce V 1.4

When WPCloudDeploy V 4.6 is released it will include support for a few new features in our Sell Server Subscriptions With WooCommerce add-on.

New: Choose Server Sizes Directly

The current version of our WooCommerce integration require that you create aliases such as “Small”, “Medium” and “Large” for server sizes. With this version we allow for the option to bypass that step and choose a server size directly for each product.

For users who are selling a lot of different sizes across many providers, this will reduce the amount of time it takes to set up products.

New: Purchaser Can Set Server Names

In prior versions we automatically set the name of the server. Now, users can enter a server name during the purchase process.

Admins can still specify a fixed prefix for all server names, eg: “WC-“.

If the user leaves the name blank we will use our prior default names. And, the admin can hide the field with some CSS if they do not want the user to be able to enter a server name at all.

New: Automatic Installation Of Certain Server Features

Admins can now specify whether certain scripts are run on the server as soon as it’s provisioned. The options for scripts are:

  • Delete Protect (to prevent the server from being accidentally deleted.)
  • Callbacks
  • Backups

Any or all three of these can be enabled & installed at the time the server is provisioned.

Misc

  • We now show the order id in the server list. If the server list is shown to the end user, the order ID hyperlink takes you to the users account page. If the server list is shown in wp-admin the order ID hyperlink takes you to the WooCommerce order page.
  • The name of the short-code that is used to display a shortened list of servers on the front-end has been changed.
  • Fix: Servers are deleted when the subscription is cancelled (unless the delete protection flag is turned on.)
